The Project FIND Two-Day training is designed for members of multidisciplinary teams (MDT’s) who investigate allegations of abuse and neglect and support victims. This includes CAC staff, law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, forensic interviewers, and other social service personnel involved in cases. This training will encourage MDTs to explore their current practices and policies to ensure that necessary accommodations are made to guarantee accessibility to services for all individuals with disabilities. Participants must attend with four other members of their MDT, all representing different disciplines.
During the 2-day training, MDT members will have an opportunity to create an action plan with fellow team members to make their services accessible to individuals with disabilities. Participants will also be introduced to the FIND Model of Forensic Interviewing and have an opportunity to practice skills developed during the training.
The 3-hour post-workshop will take place 4-6 weeks after the 2-day training. During the 3-hour session, teams will have an opportunity to share the progress of implementing the action plan that was proposed during the two-day training. Teams will receive expert input on their progress and have the opportunity to discuss any potential barriers to implementation.
