Following basic forensic interview training, the importance of peer and self- review is often emphasized, yet little guidance is provided on how to build an effective and meaningful peer review process within teams. As a result, reviewers may feel uncertain about what to look for, while those being reviewed are often left wanting more actionable feedback.
This one-day training provides concrete, practical skills for establishing a structured and effective peer review process. Participants will learn strategies for conducting more comprehensive reviews, including incorporating developmental considerations, identifying common barriers, refining question-asking habits, as well as preventing interviewer drift. After these strategies are introduced, participants will practice implementing them through a facilitated peer review session.
To support skill integration, the training facilitator will provide ongoing guidance during three additional peer review sessions following the training.
